Ideas are Everywhere...

My writer's group meets at Barnes & Noble once a month. We get together and and basically write. It's always fun to share brief writing activities with others and last night was no exception. We completed three writing activities and for the life of me, I can't remember them right now. When they come back to me I'll share them with you.

What I do remember is looking at magnets on our way out of the store. One of the magnets read How Old Would You Be If you Didn't Know How Old You Are?

That question stuck in my mind. I've tossed it around off and on all day long. My imagination has been running wild thinking about good times I had when I was young, cherished moments with my children, and also how old I really act.

Since I've been having so much fun with the question I saw on the magnet at the store, I thought you should too. In a day or so, I'll share what I finally decided my age would be if I didn't really know how old I am. This time, I'll wait until the very last comment has been left on Friday. For now, it's your turn!

HOW OLD WOULD YOU BE IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW OLD YOU ARE?

Probably 17...it seems like I have come full circle and am back to wondering what I would like to do when I grow up...I hope I would be a much more mature 17 than I was the first time :-)

I would be (and am) 29 and holding! It's a good age, when I had both experience and energy in equal measure! Perfect symmetry.

In my brain I'm either 22, or 45. One is full of piss and vinegar and the other...experience, acceptance and renewed vigor. I miss both of those ages!

My mommie said if she did not know for sure- she would think SHE was 8, because she likes make believe- like me. I think she is Terrible TWO!

I would be 18 for sure. I feel the same as I did when I was 17 (those bed creases in my face in the morning sometimes don't go away, what a SHOCK!!)but I know some time has passed since I was 17. Physically I feel so much better than I did @ 18 or 30 or 40 I think I just finally caught up on my sleep.
Dispatch is an old cranky dog till he goes potty then he's a 6 month old puppy spinning his wheels!

I think I would be in my mid 20's. I loved being that age. But if I were that I would not have had the privilege of knowing my son so maybe I would rather be 30. I still feel like 30. When I am acting younger than my age I often wonder why I have to act as old as my birth certificate says I am.

Funny, just last night I had a dream that I had two suitors and had to choose between them. I was wearing a beautiful dress. In my dreams like that I am often in my twenties or early thirties. But when I woke up, I settled back into my senior body without any problem!

young enough to know better, and old enough to share wisdom and never stop learning and growing.

Hi Jan, the picture is not mine, I got it off the internet. I have some deer pictures that we did take. I'm not sure if they are on the blog or not anymore. I will repost one of my favorites. The one that is up there now, reminds me of a book we got our son the title is Stranger in the Woods. A pictorial book with more of the same. Beautifully done. We love the dear. Please feel to use this one if you need it, or the one I will post for your animal blog.

Before September, I'd have said about 25. However, I injured my back severely, and until the neurosurgeon fixes me, I'd say about 95.

Not fair you holding out til the end. Hum....
How old would I be if I didn't know how old I was...I often say I'm as old as dirt; though I've no clue how old dirt is...so that's clear as mud...right.

I would not want to be a teenager again, that much I know.

Maybe old enough I had more travel experiences to share with people?

I think my favorite age was 40. I was old enough to be taken seriously and young enough to enjoy every single moment of life. My kids were still home. My books were selling well. I was so contented I often said "I don't deserve to feel so happy!"

Of course I'm happy now too. In fact sometimes I feel ageless! AGELESS...I LIKE THAT!

My human says that she'd be 14 or 15... I'd probably be 1 year. Ah, I remember just glimpses of kittenhood... A cat's glory days. 1 or 2 is just young enough to feel like you'll never run out of energy, and old enough to be able to take on the best of them.
