I'm Afraid

Everyone has fears and insecurities. Chances are we bury them somewhere deep in our minds just because that's the comfortable thing to do.

I was just thinking about some of my own fears...seriously...and how I'm going to handle them and decided it might make a writing exercise.

So with that in mind, what's the first thought that comes to mind when I say:

I'm afraid.....

I'm afraid that even when the bone in my knee heals I won't be able to compete with my horse again. That's been a huge part of my life...one of my great passions.

I'm afraid... of losing any more of my loved ones. The ones left behind suffer greatly, and I am afraid of that.

I'm afraid....
Of tiny eight-legged spiders. Even though I am trying to overcome that fear!! ;)
I'm afraid....
Of failure. Even though life has been successful lately!! ;-D
I'm afraid....
Of terrorism. Need I say more? :-(

I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out if this particular writing exercise because I am having a rare moment of running away from thoughts that make me uncomfortable or sad. It's cold and I'm
Not feeling up to par, and I've chosen a chick flick to escape from any emotions that run deep. I teetering on the shallow side of escapism instead of the cathartic form of writing.
